SB was set up as a gear manufacturing company in 1990 by a team of professionals who have extensive experience in the field of gear making.

SB has complete in-house facility for Heat Treatment like Carburizing, Hardening, Tempering and Induction Hardening.
In addition, in-house facilities exist for hob and broach sharpening, gear shaper cutter sharpening, and for various tools and cutters grinding.
In addiiton, the quality control laboratory is equipped with the following testing equipment.

• Gear Profile & Lead Testing Machines.


• Gear Rolling Testing Machines.


• Rockwell Hardness Tester Machines.


• Diameter Run-Out Testing Machine.


• Optical Dividing Head with straight bed.


• Profile Projector.

Range of various Gear Measuring Instruments both manual and digital. A rigid Quality Assurance system is practiced at SB.

The system comprises of:

Initial quality check by the machine operator with the help of gauges and well defined Quality Instructions. Roving Inspection by Quality Control Inspectors. First Piece Inspection, and certification of every component at start of work in the morning and after lunch break. Inspection and Certification of first piece after every resharpening of cutting tools.
Composite Error Testing of every gear in production atleast two times in a shift. 100% Final Inspection of Critical Dimensions and Sampling Inspection of Non-critical Dimensions prior to packing and dispatch. Periodical Inspection and Certificaiton of all gauges, fixtures, jigs and tools.
